Polarizing Microscopes
The ML9000 Series Metallurgical Microscope is an advanced polarizing
microscope suited for teaching and research applications in geology, petrology,
mineralogy, toxicology, chemistry, pharmaceutics, medicine, pulp/paper, atmospheric
pollution, ceramics technology, forensics, etc.
FEATURES:
- Large, stable microscope base and limb with graduated coaxial coarse and fine focusing
(with safety stop), rack and pinion focusing condenser mount, Köhler base illuminator
with pre-centered 30 watt tungsten halogen light source and intensity control.
- Binocular or trinocular body, 30° inclination, with high transmission prism system. One
eyetube slotted for 90° and 45° orientation of cross-line eyepiece.
- Both orthoscopic and conoscopic systems of observation can be carried out.
- Extra-bright, extra-large interference figures are produced by a new concept Bertrand
lens.
- Ball-bearing quadruple nosepiece with one fixed and three centerable objective
apertures.
- Analyzer, in slide for E-W insertion.
- 4X, 10X and 40X(S) SM Plan strain free objectives are supplied as standard.
- Bertrand lens with field-limiting stop, in slide for E-W insertion.
- Polarizer, in swing-out click/clamp mount, fully rotatable with click stops at 0° and
90°.
- Slide opening in limb for insertion of DIN standard 20mm X 6mm compensators, slideway
SE-NE. (Mica 1/4 wave plate and sensitive tint plate included).
- Strain free Achromatic condenser, N.A. 1.25, with aperture iris diaphragm and swing-out
filter holder.
- Optional objectives and other accessories are available.
